]]> http://blogsforbands.com/2008/03/31/feedback-problems/feed/ 0 I’m back… kinda… http://blogsforbands.com/2008/03/26/im-back-kinda/ http://blogsforbands.com/2008/03/26/im-back-kinda/#comments Wed, 26 Mar 2008 21:23:57 +0000 Dan http://blogsforbands.com/?p=30 If you’ve been to my site before, you’ve probably noticed by now that my theme looks different than it did before.  That, quite simply, is because my old host (Dreamhost) has apparently had a major file server crash.  Currently, all of my files are completely inaccessible to me and have been for the last 63+ hours.  Their support has been completely silent on this issue and have given me no way to get back at my files.  To get my site back up, I’ve installed WordPress on my new host and transferred my database over (thankfully, my databases were still accessible).  Once I can get at my theme and plugin files again, I’ll restore the look of my site.  This is what I get for not backing up enough.

All of this happened, of course, while I was still in London.  My files will probably all come back right when I’m about to leave for home so that I won’t have the time or energy to fix things for a few days.

If my files had come back within a day, or they had communicated anything to me, I might have stayed with them.  As it is, I just hope I get my files back soon so that I can bail.
